Beauty Tips for Dark Skinned Women. Blacks generally have dark skin which is as a result of Melanin formation under the skin. Melanin is a substance that gives the skin its colour. It can also be found in the hair and the Iris of the eye. Melanin formation in the skin causes dark pigmentation, which contributes to how dark skinned or light skinned an individual would be.





 If you are dark skinned, it may interest you to take note of the following skin care beauty tips. Besides following a healthy lifestyle like the ones mentioned during our last topic, for instance eating right, taking fruits and vegetables, drinking lots of water and exercise, you should also lubricate your skin very well by moisturising after taking a bath because dark skin tend to get dry easily. Apply on a damp skin. You could get affordable moisturisers within your pocket range. It is best to use a different moisturiser for the face. There are different types depending on the skin type. We have dry, oily, sensitive and combination skin types. Once you have identified the type of skin you have, then get the right moisturiser for your face and stick to it. Get a good facial cleanser that can be used in the morning and night to remove make-up and dirt from the face. If you have dry skin buy a non-soapy cleanser, because soap has a drying effect on the face. For oily skin, you can get a soapy cleanser. Get a good sunscreen. There is a misconception that black skin don't need sunscreen. If you expose your skin to the damaging effect of the sun, then you need a sunscreen to prevent you from having sunburn, wrinkles, skin cancer & other effects of the UV rays. Having a beautiful skin takes a little amount of work and it's worth it!
